Abstract

Supply chain integration has become a major topic, involving the strategic planning of roles and processes inside a business. However, there are already significant differences in the proper design of the types of requirements which would contribute greatly to supply chain performance. To understand how this would contribute to improved supply chain performance, this study develops a research design from the literature and identifies two components of integration (customer, supplier, and integration) (such as production flexibility, inventory turns, order fulfillment rate, total logistics costs, and operational performance). Supply chain integration is the process of linking all parties engaged in the fulfillment of a product into a single system. The concept of supply chain integration goes all the way back many decades, and it has been employed by global businesses to improve dramatically their systems. While there are numerous ways to implement this type of technology into a system, one of the most significant aspects, irrespective of how it is used, is information exchange. One of the most important concepts in supply chain management is customer-supplier integration. It is proven in both academic and practical contributions that interrelated strategies increase supplier-relationship performance. When evaluating supply chain integration, it is crucial to understand the changes that arise when values and biases are revealed, such as in make-buy choices or supplier contract restructuring. Supply chain efficiency is a process in which the materials in the supply chain are adequately implemented. The goal of this research was to see how customer and supplier integration affects the efficiency performance of Pakistan’s retail industry. If we talk about customer integration and supplier integration, it helps in boosting efficiency performance in Pakistan. The findings indicate that the connection between customer integration, supplier integration, and efficiency performance is significant.
